The Arkansas Lithium Boom!

Standard Lithium purchases 118 acres in Lafayette County, this will be the future site of a lithium extraction plant in Arkansas. This is the perfect place for this warehouse, due to massive lithium deposits in Southern Arkansas. Lithium is used for batteries and can be used for renewable energy in cars and technology.

Standard Lithium plans to begin construction in 2025 and production is to begin in 2027. This billion dollar industry will impact this southwest Arkansas area positively especially since the oil industry has died down in the area.

This is exciting news for many in Lafayette and Columbia County because this will bring jobs, money, and new opportunities for community growth.
